Designing destiny - kamlesh Patel

 1. Like destiny, genetics is both fixed and flexible.

2. The first principle of destiny is that we can only change it in the present.

3. The second principle of destiny is that we create it for ourselves by our everyday thoughts,  our wishes, what attracts us and repels us, our likes and dislikes.

4. Meditation is the process in which we shift from complexity of the mind to the simplicity of the heart.

Atomic Habits - Chapters 1 &2

 Key points which I liked 

1.Good habits make time your ally, bad habits make time your enemy. 

2. Breakthrough moments are often the result of many previous actions which build up the potential required to unleash a major change.

3.Generally when we form habits and do not see immediate results we give up but to make meaningful results habits need to persistent long enough to break through this plateau.

4.When you solve problems at results level you only solve them temporarily, but to improve for good you need to solve the problems at system level.

5. When all your hard work is focused on a particular goal, what is left to push you forward after you achieve it ?Long term thinking is not about any single accomplishment,it's about cycle of endless refinement and continuous improvement. 

6. Just as atoms are building blocks of molecules,  atomic habits are the building block of remarkable results. 

7.You have the power to change your beliefs about yourself.Your identity is not set in stone. You have a choice in every moment.

8.There are three levels of change : Outcome change, Process change, Identity change

9. Don't focus on what you want to achieve, but focus on who you want to become. Every action is a vote for the type of person you wish to become.

10.Habits shape your identity and your identity shapes your habits.
